Glen Bradley, Ph.D. - Chairman
Dr. Bradley became one of our directors and chairman of our board of directors in March 2003. Dr. Bradley was the chief executive officer of CIBA Vision, the Ophthalmic Division of Novartis, from 1990 until 2003.  Prior to joining CIBA Vision in 1986, he headed the USA Electronic Equipment Group for CIBA Geigy Corporation and previously had been in CIBA Geigy’s senior management of its Plastics and Additives Division and its Agricultural Division.  Dr. Bradley received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University and MBA from the University of Connecticut.  He currently is a member of the boards of Intuity Medical (glucose monitoring), AerovectRx (pulmonary drug delivery), and Biofisica (wound healing); all  private medical device companies.  Dr. Bradley was a member of the public company boards of Spectra Physics (lasers) and Summit Technology (laser vision correction) prior to their sale to other entities.  He is a past president of the Contact Lens Institute and the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce for the Southeastern United States.

Douglas C. Williamson - President and CEO
Douglas C. Williamson was elected to the board of directors as Vice Chairman of Refocus Group, Inc. on March 1, 2005 and became Refocus Group’s president and chief executive officer on October 3, 2005. Mr. Williamson has also served as the president and chief executive officer of The Williamson Group since June 2002. The Williamson Group is primarily engaged in private equity and debt investments as well as consulting and the raising of capital for companies in early stage development.   From October 1989 to June 2002, Mr. Williamson was a senior vice president and managing director of the Venture Capital Group of Bank of America Capital Investors where he was responsible for reviewing and negotiating equity investments in a number of privately held companies, including several healthcare technology and service companies. Mr. Williamson frequently served on the board of directors of these portfolio companies.  Prior to working for Bank of America, Mr. Williamson was either president or a senior executive in various operating and financial roles with companies in the energy, real estate, and financial service industries. Mr. Williamson holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from Columbia University.

Robert McTeer
Robert D. McTeer has served as a director of Refocus Group since March 2007.  Dr. McTeer is also a director of Guaranty Bank and Westwood Holdings Group.  He had a 36-year career with the Federal Reserve, including 14 years as President and CEO of The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and member of the Federal Open Market Committee. He retired from the Dallas Fed in 2004 to become Chancellor of the Texas A&M University System, which includes 9 universities, 7 state agencies, and a statewide health science center.  He retired from the A&M University System and became a Distinguished Fellow of the National Center for Policy Analysis in January 2007.  He has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Georgia and an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from Austin College. During his Federal Reserve Career, he served as an adjunct professor at several universities, including 10 years at The Johns Hopkins University.  He is also a past president of the national Association of Private Enterprise Education and a former director of the National Association of Economic Education.

Thomas W. Lyles, Jr
Thomas W. Lyles, Jr. has served as a director of Refocus Group since March 1, 2005.  Mr. Lyles has served as president, since 1998, and general counsel, since 1990, of Mission City Management, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas where he has managed a multi-company investment portfolio, including both public and large private companies.  Mr. Lyles has also served as president of Medcare Investment Funds since 2003.  Mr. Lyles received his Juris Doctor Degree from SMU Law School in 1983, and his degree in accounting from Texas A&M University in 1979.  From 1984 to 1989, Mr. Lyles was a Senior Associate Attorney with the law firm of Haynes and Boone in Dallas, Texas.  Prior to attending law school, Mr. Lyles was a senior associate with KPMG Peat Marwick.  Mr. Lyles also serves as an advisory director to Majesty Hedge Funds, and sits on the board of directors of CeloNova BioSciences, Inc., Ambulatory Services of America, Inc., ATX Group, Inc., digiChart, Inc., MedSolutions, Inc., Informatic Corporation of America, and Outpatient Imaging Affiliates, LLC.

Grady E. Schleier
Mr. Schleier has served as a director of Refocus Ocular since 1998, which became a wholly-owned subsidiary of  Refocus Group in March 2003.  As part of the merger, Mr. Schleier joined the board of directors of Refocus Group at the same time.  Mr. Schleier is a co-founder and chief executive officer of Design Partners International, LLC.  Design Partners is a distributor of lighting fixtures to the construction industry in the Southwest US.  Mr. Schleier was formerly the chief executive officer and co-chairman of Chemlink Laboratories, LLC (“Chemlink”) from December 2002 until October 2007.  Mr. Schleier continues to sever on the Chemlink board. Chemlink is primarily engaged in the development, manufacture and distribution of effervescent tablets and granule formulations for use in cleaning, disinfecting and sterilization applications.  From 1999 until joining Chemlink, Mr. Schleier served as the senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Avatex Corporation.  Mr. Schleier is a CPA and received his BBA from the University of Texas, Austin and his MBA from Southern Methodist University.

Robin G. Terrell
Robin G. Terrell was re-elected to the board of Refocus Group, Inc. in April of 2009, after previously serving on the board from 2002 through 2004 as the President of the ophthalmic surgical unit for CIBA-Vision, a division of Novartis.   Mr. Terrell started his career working in a sales and marketing role for Kodak in the UK, and after receiving his MBA in France in 1980, joined CIBA-Geigy’s pharmaceutical division in Basel, Switzerland.  In 1987, he jointed CIBA’s eye care group, where for the next twenty years he held a number of senior management assignments, especially heading up the contact lens business, and also in senior sales and marketing positions.   From 1993 through 1998, he headed up all sales and marketing operations for CIBA Vision for Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America, and from 1999 through 2001, served as the President of the global lens care business.   In 2001, he became President of the ophthalmic surgical business unit, an assignment which lasted through 2004, and then served in various other senior management roles for CIBA Vision through 2007.   Mr. Terrell served as a member of the Board of Directors of numerous Novartis affiliate companies, most recently the CIBA Vision companies in Japan, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia and Taiwan until 2006.   He also served on the board of Medennium, Inc. in Irvine, CA, in addition to the board of Refocus Group, Inc. Mr. Terrell holds MA and BS degrees in Chemistry from Oxford University, and an MBA from INSEAD, France.
